12(a) Rectification is the process of allowing current to flow in one direction only in a circuit.
Rektifikasi ialah proses yang membenarkan arus elektrik mengalir dalam satu arah sahaja
dalam suatu litar.
(b) 1. In Diagram 12.1, the diode is connected forward-bias to the dry cells.
2. Current flows in Diagram 12.1 so bulb can light up.
3. In Diagram 12.2, the diode is reverse-bias to the dry cells.
4. No current flow in Diagram 12.2 so bulb cannot light up.
1. Dalam Rajah 12.1, diod disambung pincang ke depan kepada sel kering.
2. Arus mengalir dalam Rajah 12.1 maka mentol dapat menyala.
3. Dalam Rajah 12.2, diod adalah pincang songsang kepada sel kering.
