Dear Readers,

SCIENCE INDIA FORUM, BAHRAIN (SIF Bahrain) is elated to publish it’s second yearbook
(Scientech) on the occasion of honouring the Sastra Pratibhas & Achievers of the Sastra
Prathibha Contest conducted on 02 June 2014 during the Award Gala.

The objective of SIF contest is to pronounce the glorious scientific tradition which was part
of our rich heritage that existed in ancient India and share this information along with
the latest developments in Science & Technology with our young generation of budding
scientists which will generate more confidence and collective self-esteem. Such collective
spirits based on strong cultural and scientific platform will drive our nation forward to
provide innovative and cost effective solutions towards the prosperity of mankind.

The awareness for the need of more innovative inventions in science and technology is
growing, Emergence of new technologies have opened up windows for more inventions, It
is now the imagination and creativity of human mind to explore and exploit them further.
It is time now that the scientific minds have to come together for new innovations.

SIF Bahrain takes this opportunity to thank the authors & reviewers for their contribution
towards the Scientech (year book). We wish to express our deepest gratitude to the officials
of the Embassy of India, Bahrain, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Vijnana
Bharati for their assistance and guidance through this journey. A special thanks goes to
our well-wishers & sponsors who have continued their support for this noble cause.
