HOW ACTIVELY ACTING IN FAVOUR OF DIVERSITY CAN LEAD TO ATTRACTING
FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENTS AND TALENT

At Montréal International, the CEO, VP, directors and employees have
all made commitments to diversity. These commitments range from
parity on the Board of Directors to training on unconscious bias for
all employees, improved diversity when constituting panels for various
events and establishment of a diversity committee – all this by the end of
2021. In addition, three employees of this agency are part of the small
group behind the movement – Gwenaelle Thibaut, Marie-Ève Blanchette-
Desloges and Mona-Lisa Prosper.
For Investissement Québec International, commitments were also
numerous. From the establishment of a team that is at least 30% diverse
to training on diversity and inclusion and mentoring First Nations individuals
who want to explore careers in economic development. Daniel Silverman,
VP foreign investment, summarized his participation in #EnsembleInc: “I
am proud to be one of the many from Investissement Québec International
to join this initiative. Diversity and inclusion are at the core of who we are
as a country, province, region, community and as an organization. We
need to come together to ensure a better now and work on a solution
for a better future. “
