                                    Welcome to the City of Winston-Salem!



                       I am happy for this opportunity to welcome you to City government.  As an employee of
               the City of Winston-Salem, you are a member of a family of workers dedicated to providing quality
               service to our customers, the citizens.

                       We have a strong commitment to excellent service, and each of us has a tradition to live up
               to.  I congratulate you on having been selected to be a part of this team.

                       Please use this handbook as your guide to understanding your job, benefits, and the policies
               and procedures of the City.  If you need additional information, your supervisor and the Human
               Resources Department will be glad to help you.
