The Times Of India Experience………
It is necessary to do something extraordinary in our present, that helps us
remember how we led a life in our future…….
Motivation:
Reading newspapers is a daily activity in our life and when an opportunity
is received to prepare one…… No one could deny it. We got to know more
about language, a writing, framing an article, and about how much
effort is needed to bring out a newspaper. A certain Fascination to
know about journalism , brought us together and
motivated us to take up this project and give it our best.
What we learned:
We learned a lot during our journey…… we started out as blank page
with no idea and ended with a zeal to do more, to learn more, to explore
more and the most importantly to know something about everything.
I learned art of converting raw data into a beautiful piece of article,
how information from different areas can be connected wonderfully to bring
out something creative. I met new persons and learnt a lot from them.
Sarah mam and Surekha mam were constant support to us.
“Be brief and informative, along with being creative” that’s
what an article must be and that’s how we all did them too.
Impact of the newspaper:
What came out was something unbelievable. It is true that hard work pays
of . We had a beautiful piece of work in front of us and we were
proud of ourselves. Our friends were happy, our teachers were super
excited and our parents were full of enthusiasm and pride. Principal mam
congratulated us . The best part was when other school students
congratulated us.
Team leader:
A team works well if it’s leader leads well. Santhosh sir led us all in the right
direction and came out with an effective and positive result. Most of the
work had been done by himself and the pain he has taken, I am sure none
of us have done that much. He contributed the most to this project and
without him all this will not be a reality. It is difficult to get a mentor like this
and we all are really very lucky to have him as our teacher.
The experience taught me many things, which will help me in my future,
The Times of India newspaper reminds me the experience. The travel, the
journey,
my team, the teachers who accompanied us, my school, the mentors and
journalists along with editors
at the office, the layout newspaper, the photos and videos taken, the
release day and the morning assembly and most importantly my work , my
page…….Page 3. Page 3 was the most attractive one. It had information
presented in a
creative and colorful way. Our school students helped us in conducting
a survey on one of our topics PETS. It was appreciated by the Times
members too….. It had the contribution of entire school. Page 3 also
focused on Swami Vivekananda. His life, his teaching, his contribution and
values were presented in unique way full of motivation and learning.
Unforgettable experience which cannot be expressed with
words…….Truly……..
