                            Rhythm: Irregular where PVC occurs.





                      Management: Correct the cause; amiodarone, lidocaine.




                          QRS: Wide, bizarre, >0.10 sec; may be followed by compensatory pause.










                         Causes: Healthy persons, caffeine, nicotine, stress, cardiac ischemia or infarction, digoxin toxicity, elec-
                        trolyte imbalances, hypovolemia, fever, hypokalemia, hypoxia, hypermagnesemia, acid-base imbalance.
                                 May be uniform (one ectopic focus or unifocal) or different foci (multifocal). Patient may complain of lighthead-
