Service to Humanity
As global citizens, our students are given opportunities to serve and make a difference
in Hong Kong and beyond. CAIS offers a range of extracurricular activities that seeks
to expand the horizons of our students. One example is the Social Justice Club in which
our secondary students volunteer to serve the elderly and low-income families through
handing out basic necessities such as food, water, and towels and connect with the
neglected in Hong Kong.
Embedded into the curriculum is also the “Discovery Days” Program in which our
students travel abroad to experience diverse cultures, build leadership and teamwork
skills, and serve the local communities. CAIS students participate in volunteering, youth
leadership development, and raising the awareness of the student body to important
global issues. Students have helped provide a school for needy children in Cambodia
through the Joshua Academy in Phnom Penh, and the BuHay School near the border with
Thailand.
Glow In the Dark is a secondary
student group seeking to shine
a light in the darkness. The
light they share is the good
news of Jesus Christ. The
group creatively presents the
message of Christ through
song, dance, testimonies and
presentations of the good news.
