Time flies fast, we are on our 3rd quarter issue of Skin Contact 2019. PDS has started
to join the bandwagon of digital age, our publishing has become digital and soon we
want to learn on how to deliver our issues with digital content. It is our aim to bring
Aenelle B. Dizon, MD the society’s archives of events, achievements, announcements, learnings and more, Christina Raissa F. Pasion, MD
Editor-in-Chief Assistant Editor-in-Chief
The shift on going digital also aims to increase readership among our colleagues in
an easy click of going thru the PDS website pds.org.ph. We hope that the transition is
impactful and will be successful through the support of our members.
I am always grateful to the contributors and to my all girl team of editors Coreen,
Heidi, Tanya and Raissa for sharing their time and talent to come up with an issue
worth reading.
Coreen Mae G. Capuyoc, MD Heidi P. Chan, MD
Always grateful,
Aenelle
It is my pleasure to be part of this quarter’s issue and share with you the exciting
things PDS dermatologists all over the country are engaging in. The rainy season is
upon us but the energy remains palpable from the many activities that transpired,
Tanya Perez-Chua, MD as well as from planning many events still lined up for 2019. It is now my third year Hester Gail Y. Lim, MD
as part of Skin Contact and remain in awe of how fast things progress and how much
growth each year brings, not only to each of us in the editorial team, but to our
beloved society as a whole. Thank you for growing with us and I hope you enjoy this
issue. Love and light to all!
Yours,
Coreen

I enjoy writing and editing articles, and, when Dr. Aenelle invited me to be one of the
Associate Editors, it was my privilege to help her SkinContact team! Been writing and
editing for quite a while. This time however, it is more special as I am editing articles
for from my PDS Colleagues—the DermAuthority! And lastly, going “paper-less” is
one of my advocacies in going “green”! Thus, this is another privilege to be a part of
this wonderful and amazing team!

As dermatologists, we strive, as much as possible, to have normal lives with our
families, and this means fulfilling multiple roles. We strive to be excellent clinicians
and researchers, hands on mothers and caring children to our parents.
Bernadette Lou G. Caluya, MD Maria Carla Perlas-Pagtakhan, MD
In spite of our grueling schedules and responsibilities, we all made a commitment to
find common time to work together to make this issue of Skin Contact.
Skin Contact has always been informative but now, we have tried to make it more
fun to read. This issue highlights the essentials for us board certified dermatologists.
