☻ The four fundamental forces of nature are the frictional force, gravitational force, electromagnetic
force and nuclear force. The gravitational force of attraction is the weakest force among these.
Gravitation causes objects within the Earth's gravitational field to fall
toward the Earth's surface.
Since gravity acted from the center of the earth, the object falls in a straight
line perpendicular to the surface.
Due to gravitation, the sun, stars, planets and moon are fixed in the universe.
We see tides in the sea and ocean due to the force of gravitation of the moon and the
sun on the earth when they lie on the same straight line.
