Description on ‘g’
When something is dropped down from significant height it’s
downward velocity increases every second. In fact, 9.8m/s is
added in its previous velocity every second during downward
motion as in figure below.
Initial Velocity = 0m/s
1 second
A Velocity = 0+ 9.8 m/s = 9.8 m/s
This increment in
downward velocity is 3 second 1 second
due to the existence of Velocity = 0+ 9.8+9.8 = 19.6 m/s
acceleration due to B
gravity i.e.. ‘g’
1 second
C Velocity = 0+ 9.8+9.8+9.8 m/s=29.4 m/s
