Solve the following problems.
(a) Atom natrium mempunyai 11 proton dan 12 neutron. Apakah nombor proton dan nombor nukleon bagi
atom natrium?
The sodium atom has 11 protons and 12 neutrons. What are the proton number and nucleon number of the sodium atom?
Nombor proton = bilangan proton = 8
Proton number = number of protons = 8
Nombor nukleon = bilangan neutron + bilangan proton
Number of nucleons = number of neutrons + number of protons
= 12 + 11
= 23
(b) Atom fluorin mempunyai nombor nukleon 19 dan 9 proton. Berapakah bilangan elektron dan neutron
bagi atom fluorin?
Fluorine atoms have nucleon numbers of 19 and 9 protons. What is the number of electrons and neutrons in a fluorine atom?
Nombor elektron = bilangan proton = 9
Number of electrons = number of protons = 9
Bilangan neutron = Nombor nukleon – bilangan proton
Number of neutrons = Nucleon number – number of protons
= 19 – 9
= 10
