Perbincangan/ Discussion:
1. Bincangkan mengenai bentuk dan taburan stoma pada daun monokot dan daun eudikot.
Discuss about the shape of the stomata and its distribution on the monocot and the eudicot leaves.
– Bentuk stoma bagi daun monokot berbentuk dumbel.
The stoma for monocot leaves is dumbbell-shaped.
– Taburan stoma dalam daun monokot adalah secara tersusun.

The stomata on the monocot leaves are distributed uniformly.
– Bentuk stoma bagi daun eudikot pula berbentuk seperti kekacang atau ginjal.
The stoma for eudicot leaves is kidney-shaped.
– Taburan stoma dalam daun eudikot adalah tidak sekata.

The distribution of the stoma in the eudicot leaves are not uniform.
– Stoma lebih padat pada lapisan epidermis bawah berbanding dengan epidermis atas.
The stomata are more abundant on the lower epidermis compared to the upper epidermis.

2. Terangkan mengapa permukaan epidermis atas daun mempunyai taburan stoma yang sedikit?
Explain why the upper epidermis surface of leaf has less stomatal distribution?
– Untuk mengurangkan kehilangan air melalui transpirasi

To reduce water loss through transpiration
– Untuk mengelakkan penyejatan air berlebihan
To prevent the excessive water evaporation
– Supaya lapisan epidermis atas yang mengandungi tisu mesofil palisad dapat menyerap cahaya

dengan maksimum bagi membolehkan fotosintesis berlaku dengan optimum
So that the upper epidermis that contains palisade mesophyll tissues can absorb maximum sunlight to allow photosynthesis
to occur optimumly
Kesimpulan/ Conclusion:
Taburan stoma pada epidermis atas adalah kurang berbanding epidermis bawah bagi daun
monokot dan daun eudikot. Hipotesis diterima.
The distribution of the stomata on the upper epidermis is lesser compared to the lower epidermis for monocot and eudicot
leaf. Hypothesis is accepted.
