H Homophones
Each of two or more words which have the same pronunciation but different meanings.
1. blue – My favourite colour is blue.
blew – He blew several balloons.
2. eye – She has a birthmark near her left eye.
I – I bought a pair of new shoes yesterday.
3. fir – A fir tree has needle-like leaves and grows in cold countries.
fur – There is cat fur all over the sofa.
4. in – Please come in, madam.
inn – Mr and Mrs Wing are staying in the inn.
5. hair – Maria has beautiful long hair, hasn’t she?
hare – The hare has thick white fur.
6. one – There was no one at home so we went home.
won – Hashim won several prizes at the fair.

tail – The cat has a long tail.
