YR11 Art students completed their Cambridge
International GCSE at the beginning of April 2019. The
themes developed were ‘Merging Forms’ and ‘Sliced
and Diced’. Students worked tirelessly, producing a
portfolio of work and a final piece. Well done YR11s,
all the effort and hard work really paid off with some
very creative outcomes.

Proposed Art Trip to Spain
Ms. Reohorn is organising an Art trip to Madrid and
Barcelona in the Autumn term of 2019 for IGCSE and
A Level students. Art students will visit world class
Art galleries including ‘The Reina Sofia’, ‘The Prado’
and the ‘Thyssen-Bornemisza’ in Madrid and the
‘Picasso Museum’, the ‘Joan Miro Foundation’ and the
‘Design Museum’ in Barcelona as well as having the
opportunity to photograph and sketch incredible Art
Nouveau Architecture and see the works of Antoni
Gaudi.
