Science matters to everybody. Children are curious by nature and as
adults our job is to foster that interest and curiosity by encouraging
them to think scientifically. At JPGS, we use an active learning teaching
approach, where pupils are engaged in numerous hands-on learning

enough? The fascination of discovering how to fix a hole in a bucket; to build
a strong bridge; go on a mini beast hunt, or other amazing every day
events is quite intriguing. Science stimulates the natural curiosity that
drives learners and inspires them to discover the mysteries of the world
around them.
Prep School pupils were registered for two major Science events this
Ours is year. The BSME Science Championship and the CREST Awards.
the best THE BSME Science competition (KS2) was a great learning experience
for our pupils. We received 3rd position on Global ranking and 1st on
Category ranking (101-250 students). We also received a winning dig-
ital badge for our school website. The fantastic response from our pu-
pils made JPGS proud!
The aim of CREST awards (Year 1 to
6) is to make pupils think and behave
like scientists and engineers by design-
ing and developing their own STEM
projects on simple everyday topics that
relate to them. Pupils had to complete
eight challenges to receive a CREST Star certificate and a badge. Most
pupils enthusiastically completed eight and more challenges.
Teamwork Thanks to all the parents for their immense support in making our pu-
pils’ CREST journey successful.
Wishing everyone a relaxing summer break…Think like a Proton-Al-
