our staff, please allow me to
welcome you to Jeddah Prep and
Grammar School and the very
first JPGS Newsletter for this
academic year 2019-20.
As JPGS Headmaster, I am very
honoured and proud to be
leading such a wonderful,
successful and happy school. Our
August 2019 examination results
for Year 13 students were a very
impressive 94.6% A* - C and 36%
A* - A. Our departing Year 13 will
be, I have no doubt, significant
assets to the tertiary level
institutions and the degree
courses that they have just
commenced, primarily in the UK.
Our Year 11 IGCSE results have
been equally positive at over
90.4% A* - C and over 43.4% A* -
A. These are world-leading
statistics that in many ways
confirm how well we are all

doing. Many congratulations to
our pupils on their hard work
and well-deserved results and, of
course, our teachers on their
support and guidance over the
past two years.
I am always extremely proud of
our pupils’ effort, hard work and
courtesy which are extended
towards me and everyone else in
the school. Please do remember to
arrive promptly for the beginning
of the school, an interruption can
affect more than just one pupil
and his/her learning. Hard work,
good organisation and a positive
attitude to learning are the key
essentials for a top-class pupil. It
is up to us all to ensure we adopt
the right approach and build the
correct foundations for higher
and further study both here at
school, later on at college or
university and onwards into
adulthood.
I am very pleased that we have
already provided a number of
informational presentations for
parents, including a Welcome to
JPGS for all parents, the
Cambridge Primary Programme,
Tea and Talk for parents and
members of SLT, CAT4
presentations for Years 7 and 9,
UCAS presentation for KS4 and
KS5 pupils about to embark on
