Roald Dahl Assembly
Two weeks ago, 5A presented an
assembly to the KS2 pupils. Our
assembly was in remembrance of
the great author, Roald Dahl and
his 103 birthday, which was

celebrated on 13 September of

this year.
Some of the events in our
assembly programme was to read
summaries of our favourite Roald
Dahl books and to play a puzzle
game in which the audience got to
guess which of his characters were
hidden on the screen.
House
Competitions
House competitions are very
much underway with Grammar
School competing in House
volleyball competitions which
have been very entertaining with
all Houses proving tough
opponents. Additionally in the
School, Grammar House quizzes
have started with pupils recently
taking part in a House general
knowledge quiz kindly organised
by Mr Matthew, Mr Lowe and Mr
Cox have made arrangements for
House 5-a-side Football to start for
Grammar School to take place
every Thursday at break and
lunchtime.
The Prep School have enjoyed the
first inaugural 5 a side football
league. Currently Year 5 and 6
Boys have been competing
playing fixtures every break time
with girls to follow afterwards.
The league has been hugely
popular amongst pupils drawing
large crowds to come and watch.
