What is a sentence?
A group of words that usually contains a subject and
a verb and expresses a complete idea.
Types of sentences
Simple Sentence ได้แก่ ประโยคที่มี Subject 1 ตัว และ V.แท้ 1
ตัวเท่านั้น ถือเป็น main clause
Ex. Birds fly.
Ex. Fish swim
Compound Sentence ได้แก่ ประโยคที่ประกอบด้วย Simple
Sentence ตั้งแต่ 2 ประโยคขึ้นไปรวมกัน โดยใช้ coordinating
conjunction หรือ fanboys เท่านั้น
Complex Sentence ได้แก่ ประโยคซับซ้อน คือท า Clause มาผูก
ไว้กับ Sentence ตัวเชื่อมประโยคเยอะมาก เช่น Although,
however, because, since, who, which, that ฯลฯ
Ex. The patient knows why doctor's advice to eat
more nutrient-rich vegetables and less fat works
well for a patient who is at risk for cancer or
for heart disease.
