Welcome from the
Western Golf Association
Since 1899, the Western Golf Association has
been proud to conduct the Western Amateur, an
international championship as prestigious and
challenging as any in the game of golf.
This week, we welcome our 2021 Western Amateur
contestants to historic Glen View Club, a site that
played a critical role in the very founding of our
organization. Glen View Club was one of 11
Chicago-area clubs that came together to form
the WGA in 1899. Later that year, it hosted the
first Western Amateur championship, won by Kevin Buggy John Kaczkowski
