WESTERN GOLF ASSOCIATION

This week, we’re looking forward to adding another
chapter to our illustrious history at Point O’ Woods.
We’re certain that the club’s challenging Robert Trent
Jones design will provide as stern a test for our
talented contestants now as it did for the many
PGA TOUR stars who competed in the Western
Amateur on these fairways in years past.

We are also thrilled to welcome back Southwest
Michigan’s knowledgeable golf fans, who for so
many years loyally supported the Western Amateur

Strange, Fred Couples, Phil Mickelson, Justin
Leonard, Tiger Woods, Adam Scott and Dustin
Johnson all competed for the historic George R.
Thorne Trophy at Point O’ Woods. Crenshaw,
Strange, Mickelson, Leonard and Woods claimed
their Western Amateur titles here.
