1.6 Neutron interaction
Neutron produced from the sources can be utilized for
many applications in industry, tool for research and de-
velopment of materials characterization, cultural her-
itage, medical and etc. The utilization of neutrons are
based on the behaviour of neutron interaction with a
matter. There are several possible ways of neutron in-
teraction such as scattering, thermalization, diffussion,
activation, diffraction and so on.
