9 Writing Time
9.1. Know what an essay is.
An essay is a short piece of
writing about a particular Introduction
subject. It includes the facts Body
and the writer’s thoughts and Conclusion
opinions about the subject.
An essay, like a sandwich or
burger is divided into different
parts. These parts are the:
Introduction : It opens the essay. It is a short paragraph
on the background, meaning and
definition of the subject of essay.
Body : It is the main part of the essay. It
includes all the facts and opinions of
the subject.
Conclusion : It is the end of the essay. It includes the
summary of the essay and the writer’s
views and suggestions.
9.2. Write a short essay on ‘My Family’.
