C.  Answer the following questions.

          a.  Who is the narrator in this poem?

          b.  What impression do the words give you about the narrator? Is he
               afraid, cool?
          c.  What do you find strange about the language used in the first line
               of the poem?

          d.  At the end, it seems that the child knows that a teacher is not a
               monster even if he or she is unsure precisely what a teacher does.
               Is the child comfortable at the end? Or is he or she still full of fear?

          e.  Copy the chart and place a tick in the boxes which tell us what the
               child notices.
