          Grimm,  Jacob  (1785-1863)
          and  Wilhelm  (1786-1859)  –
          German  philologists  whose
          collection       “Kinder-       und

          Hausmarchen,”  known  in
          English  as  “Grimm’s  Fairy
          Tales,”  is  a  timeless  literary

          to them by common villagers. Cinderella (1812) - The famous tale of
          a girl who is  mistreated by her evil stepmother and step-sisters but

          goes on to marry the prince. This, the original “Cinderella,” differs
          greatly from many of its modern variations.
