5.3. Read the following sentences and note the use of little

and few.

a. I have a little money.
b. The monkey picked a few coconuts.

c. She gave the child a little milk.
d. I want a few moments with my teacher.

e. Santro had brought a few chocolates in the school.
Little and few are quantifiers. They mean some.

Little is used for singular uncountable nouns and few is used for

plural countable nouns.
A little and a few are positive quantifiers but little and few are

negative quantifiers.
