Read the story below and do the activities.

pandora’s box

In ancient Greece there was

the rule of Gods. Zeus was the

king. He was brave, furious

and arrogant. Man didn’t have

fire till then and King Zeus

believed man did not deserve

it. Prometheus, the kind God

knew how desperately man

needed fire. So without the

king’s consent he stole the fire

and gave it to man.

Zeus was furious that his

decision had been ignored. As

punishment, Zeus chained Prometheus to a rock for many years.
