He was not satisfied with it. He wanted to punish Epimetheus,
the friend of Prometheus and all men who were then enjoying
the fire.
Zeus, first called Hepaestus, the maker of things and ordered
him to make him a daughter. Hepaestus made a beautiful
woman out of clay, brought her to life and gave it to Zeus and
this beautiful woman was named Pandora by the king. Pandora
was then taught crafts by Athena and Hermes was ordered by
Zeus to teach her to be deceitful and curious.
Epimetheus, the other
target of the King had
been lonely after his
friend was chained to
Rock. The wicked idea
of Zeus that he wanted
to get his daughter
Pandora married to
him lured Epimetheus.
Epimetheus though not
sure of the king’s grace,
accepted the proposal
because he fell in love
with the gorgeous Pandora at first sight.
