5.2. Learn more uses of ‘the’.
* We use ‘the’ before superlative adjectives.
Eg. the highest, the most artistic, the loudest, the
most dangerous etc.
* We use ‘the’ before the names of rivers, seas, oceans,
famous sites, religious books, newspapers and
magazines.
Eg. the Nile, the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea, the
Disneyland, the Geeta, the Wisdom, the Republica
Daily etc.
* We use ‘the’ before a noun which is unique or only one of it.
Eg. the sun, the world, the universe, the king, the
principal, the chairperson, the space, the president
