CG was first introduced to improved the quality and safety of healthcare in a
systematic, integrated and organized manner.
It involves each and everyone in the healthcare organization
DEFINITION
“ Clinical governance is a system through which(NHS) organisations are accountable
for continuously improving the quality of their services and safeguarding high
standards of care by creating an environment in which excellence in clinical care
will flourish.” (Scally and Donaldson 1998, NHS UK)
OBJECTIVES
To be part of the organisation which is accountable to improve quality and safety in
systematic, integrated and organized manner
