ii. Chest tube with water seal drainage:
• a small cut in your chest wall and puts a plastic tube into your pleural space for
several days and connected to a drainage system.
• If the pleural effusions keep coming back, a long-term catheter through skin into
the pleural space.
• Patient can then drain the pleural effusion at home.
