1. Ineffective airway clearance related to increases of
mucus production and bronchospasm.
Intervention
1. Assess respiratory status at least every 4 hours. Airway obstruction
will cause respiratory failure
2. Place the client in the fowler position. Promotes lung expansion
and facilitates secretion production.
