EQUINOVARUS/CLUB FOOT

• The term talipes is derived from talus (Latin =

ankle bone) and pes (Latin = foot).

• Equinovarus is one of several different talipes

deformities; others are talipes calcaneus and

talipes valgus

• 0riginal meaning – A deformity that cause the

patient to walk on the ankle.
