MOM’S GREEN BEANS





        From the Kitchen of Chelsea Nguyen


        Ingredients:
        4 cans green beans
        1 onion, diced

        1 ½ tsp. bacon grease



































        Directions:
        Drain green beans

        Dice onion
        Heat bacon grease in a pot on med-high heat

        Add onions and green beans
        Season with salt, pepper, and garlic salt; stir to combine
        Let beans fry, stirring constantly, until there is a slight sear on the beans
        Cover the beans with water

        Turn heat on high
        Let beans cook until about 1 inch of liquid remains






        Notes: Libby, Del Monte, or Le Seur brand beans are the tastiest

        You can also use onion powder or dried minced onions

        You can cook bacon in the pot and use the grease from that, as well

        My mom uses Paula Deen’s seasoning
