A vase arrangement of floral strings is a type of floral arrangement in Lanna
style, commonly found in the northern region of Thailand; made from the flowers
of globe amaranths and crown flowers. It is used both as an offering to the Buddha
image and as decoration for festivals and ceremonies. A vase arrangement of
floral strings is made by inserting globe amaranths and crown flowers into the
midribs of coconut fronds, which are then placed in a vase. No water is needed.
The midribs of coconut fronds are strong yet flexible as they bend down outwards,
creating a striking floral composition of grace and beauty.
