ETO’s initiative of finalizing the International
Yoga University jointly with FIC, last year,
Iaims to bring more impetus to India’s Global
Yoga Mission. Koppal District already attracts
huge tourists in this regard and is a suitable place
for setting up of this University.
In a statement by IETO President, Dr Asif

Iqbal said, “We are glad to finalise plans for the
International Yoga University that the Union
government had been contemplating to setup in
Koppal District. This is initiated by the Member
of Parliament, Karadi Sanganna and members of
Foreign Investors Council.”
IETO delegation also undertook an exploration
tour to Chitradurga at the invitation by a leading
pontiff where major foreign collaborations for the

district were discussed.
Also, a round table was held to discuss
collaborations in Bangalore, leading to the
commencement of the Agritech project at the
Bangalore International Airport with the FIC and
IETO team in collaboration with Japanese scientists
held in Bangalore in November, this year.
