am pleased to know that The Diplomatist, a leading foreign affairs publication, is coming out with a special
e-publication on Africa and India-Africa Relations.
I The ongoing global pandemic is gradually creating a world order that calls for deeper review of its economic
policies. We are faced with newer and complex geopolitical realities. This has its impact on the global business
environment too.
Today, we need to be optimistic, and passionate enough to build a shared future for our youths, and for our future
generations across Africa, India and the world, at large. It is imperative that India and Africa collaborate with each
other under the Ten Guiding Principles for India-Africa Engagement unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in
2018. This will strengthen policy efforts towards fulfilment of the Sustainable Development Goals too.
To contribute to the discourse, FORE School of Management, New Delhi in collaboration with The Diplomatist is
already organising a high-level ‘ India-Africa Business Forum’ on November 27, 2020. This event is being organised
under the aegis of the FORE International Business Conference (FIBC) 2020 on the theme of ‘Future of Business
in the New Global Realities’ scheduled on November 27-28, 2020.
I wish the event all success, and hope the deliberations will help develop a pragmatic roadmap to deepen India-
Africa economic and strategic engagements in times to come.
