In this exciting workshop, two UCSC graduate students
and preservice teachers present a compelling scenario
of a mentor teacher using traditional and harmful
teaching practices and is "called-in" by a student
teacher who is passionate about education for equity,
social justice and anti-racism. This "skit" is followed
by an in-depth interaction between two preservice
teachers who reflect on and analyze the experience.

    Learning Outcomes:

Participants in the workshop will learn:
How core values drive instructional practices
        How commitments uphold core values
Promising practices for equity justice in the

        classroom
