right behind us. Many of them went straight to Xerena and the Smith,
promptly inviting their own decapitation upon themselves. The sounds of
sword clashing against flesh and swipes of hands at her shield made me
slightly terrified of the aftermath, but I knew she would persevere. As I,
Jane and Sentry rushed to free the magics and repair arcane
mechanisms, more and more of them kept showing up. The room filled with
corpses, which were quickly converted from Undead to Very Dead. As
soon as we got the lift powered, Jane pulled the lever and launched us out
of there. The only problem was that Sentry turned mad. He began
screaming and slaughtering every risen body down below, rushing
towards any new arrivals. I believe this to be the most stressful thing we
have endured on this bloody demiplane, and the closest we have ever been to
losing a party member here. The Smith, bless his soul, got Jane to stop the
lift and jumped down to help Sentry finish off the mob.
The only long-lasting damage we have sustained there was a massive
crack in one of Sentry’s eyes. For some damn reason I couldn’t mend it.
We need to look into this more, I’m afraid it’s something to do with the
evil-looking mask he’s wearing.
At the top of the elevator, we found another large hall, this time
accompanied by candlelight and massive tables. The knobs on the door
leading into the hall were recently polished, albeit quite poorly. We were
greeted by friendly ghosts this time; they offered us some really nice food,
booze and a bed. I didn’t question this fortune too much, as they are
