THE CRUSADER FUND
Investing in Their Futures
Catholic Memorial High School was blessed by the generosity of hundreds of
donors whose support and dedication to CMH helped to raise a record $962,208
for the Annual Crusader Fund. Their commitment to CMH helps all students thrive.
PA YING IT F ORWARD
Carsen Piascek walked into President Donna Bembenek’s office near the
PARISH SUPPOR T end of his senior year and quietly delivered an envelope containing twenty-
$137,815 three $100 bills. He told her he felt so blessed by his experience at CMH that
he wanted to help another young person benefit from a CMH education.
Each of the $100 bills, he said, were in honor of one of the 23 parishioners
from St. Joseph Parish in Waukesha – his home parish – who gave their lives
in WWII and for whom CMH stands as a living memorial. Carsen had recently
learned that he had earned a full academic scholarship to college. The
money he donated was taken from funds he saved for college.
“ After experiencing four years at CMH, I was inspired to
donate to the Crusader Fund because I wanted to give
”
back to those who had provided me with so much.
