THE COMMUNITY
ELECTRIC VEHICLES HAVE
BECOME QUITE POPULAR IN
RECENT YEARS, AND
COMPANIES ARE NOW
LOOKING TO DEVELOP
ELECTRIC PLANES AS A FORM
OF CLEANER, CHEAPER AND
QUIETER AIR TRAVEL. WE
WERE INTERESTED TO KNOW
HOW THE TOLUNA
COMMUNITY FEELS ABOUT
COMMERCIAL ELECTRIC
PLANES.
Out of 973 Australian members, 74%
support this idea if it is tested properly
over long distances. 14% think it's a good
idea, but don't believe that electric
planes will be a viable industry. Only 4%
think this type of innovation is
unnecessary and that fuel-powered
aircraft is the only option for air travel.
THE AUSTRALIAN BUSHFIRES
HAS GENERATED A LOT OF
ATTENTION FROM AROUND
THE WORLD. ONE MODEL
MADE HEADLINES FOR
SENDING NUDE PHOTOS TO
ANYONE WHO DONATED TO
THE RELIEF CHARITIES. WHAT
DID THE TOLUNA COMMUNITY
THINK ABOUT THIS?
Of the 1398 Australian members polled,
50% thought she did a good job of raising
funds and awareness. 27% did not think
this was the best way to fund-raise, and
13% thought this was a demeaning
publicity stunt.
