Examples of TRANSPORT documents:
a. Packing list
• A Packing List is a list with detailed packing information of the
goods shipped. It is prepared by the exporter/shipper. It shows
the details of goods contained in each parcel / shipment.
• It is a list providing information needed for transportation
purpose, such as details of invoice, buyer, consignee, country
of origin, vessel/flight date, port/airport of loading,
port/airport of discharge, place of delivery, shipping marks /
container number, weight / volume of merchandise and the
fullest details of the goods, including packing information.
• The packing list is intended to let transport agencies,
government authorities, and customers know the contents of
the package.
• These details help each of these parties handle the package
accordingly.
• It is prepared by exporter.
