The Special Response Team Competition is an com/acadisviewer/login.aspx
opportunity for tactical teams to participate in a series of
events that test decision making, physical skills, shooting Course Coordinator
and tactical skills as well as exhibiting the ability to Rodney Harris
function as a team. Events will demonstrate the use of
various tactical weapons such as submachine guns, sniper Length of Course
rifl es, shotguns, etc. Three days (24 hours)

Teams are to be composed of a minimum of six members
to a maximum of ten members, one of which is a sniper.

Methodologies
SWAT NEW! This course employs lecture, discussion, demonstrations
Training Seminar and practical exercises.

100% Attendance.
Successfully complete all required events.
Prerequisite: Must be a sworn L/E offi cer assigned Special Concerns
to a tactical response team or its equivalent or active Only sworn law enforcement who are on a tactical
military personnel.

This two day symposium follows the NCJA/NCTOA
Annual SWAT Competition and gives tactical offi cers the Course Coordinator Length of Course
opportunity to meet and train with other tactical offi cers Rodney Harris Two days (16 hours)
from various agencies. The symposium will offer lectures,
demonstrations, and practical training sessions from
various subject matter experts in the fi eld. Vendors will
be present to allow offi cers a chance to see and evaluate
various products for tactical applications and conduct
training sessions.

Course Objectives
Offi cers will receive information and training in various
topics related to law enforcement special response teams
through lecture, discussion, practical exercises, and
demonstrations.
