E-WASTE

E-waste is electronics that are being

thrown away. E- waste includes
televisions, computers, laptops, tablets,
chromebooks and phones. According to
the U.S. 20-50 million metric tons are the
amount of E-waste that is thrown away
every year.

China is a major dumping ground for
E-waste from the United States.

E-waste has to be recycled separately
because Inside of electronics are metals
and chemicals that can be hazardous if it
gets into the soil. It poisons the soil.
