The Sword of Gilead & The Book of Angels
None is a private affair as St Thomas
points out, they are shared by the angelic world
no matter the hour, the day, or the place, and yes,
that does include during Mass or any other church
meeting because angels also worship at a
charismatic prayer meeting and follow the liturgy
of the Mass partaking as do we. At times, some
people have the privilege of seeing in the spirit the
myriads of angels partaking in the Mass.
Although embarrassing it is never the less
to our comfort with the holy angels, but what
about the evil ones that by the same means know
also. Well, it shows just how weak our defence is
against the hostile armies of evil that take
advantage of the unintentional help we give them.
Thomas tells us that angels can introduce pictures
to our minds, reach deep into our memories, and
parade them before our eyes. - Although the
angels can introduce pictures into our
imagination, reach into the storehouse of memory,
and parade the past before our mind's eye it is
right there that the great natural powers of the
angelic world grind to a halt before the
impregnable sovereignty of our intellect and our
will. - Even the highest of the angels cannot know
what you are going to do next - the most gifted of
the angels cannot know what I am thinking at this
moment.
In this privacy of soul, says St Thomas, we
are the equals of the angels; this territory is
