Programme Details

Programme Overview

 15 hours English study: General English, or exam preparation and 15 hours practical
childcare training per week.

 NZQA approved Demi-Pair Training Scheme Certificate
 Red Cross First Aid Certificate for children

 Free airport pick-up
 Programme orientation on arrival
 Course materials
 ETC study and Demi-Pair training material

 Car insurance excess cover (up to NZ$1,000). This covers the car insurance excess
paid by the host family in case of damage to their car caused by the student. ETC
will make a NZ$1,000 contribution to the family insurance cover.
 Ongoing support for both the Demi-Pair and the host family

Placement Conditions

15 hours Demi-Pair Training
 Full-board (accommodation and 3 meals per day)
 The Training Scheme involves practical training of 15 hours per week in the family
home.
 Attendance at English classes: 15 hours per week.

English Study

 Morning study from 9 am to 12 pm
 Students can select exam or non exam classes

 Wellington Campus specialises in CAE and Cambridge First Certificate
