State  of  art  laboratory  facilities  with  advanced  instrumentation  and  financial  support  for
               sampling,  field  measurements,  physicochemical  analysis,  measurement  of  climate  altering
               radiative  properties  of  atmospheric  aerosols,  receptor  modelling,  source  apportionment,
               modelling climate effects, exposure analysis, and crop health monitoring through ground truth
               measurements and calibration of satellite data for extended time series analysis of the changes
               in land cover/land use classes will be required. In addition to seed funds, alternate source of
               funding could be from research grants of schemes announced by several related Ministries
               (MoES, MoEF, DST, etc.,).


               Outreach and Collaborative Programs

               The  initiative  can  spearhead  outreach  activities  in  educational  institutions,  awareness
               campaigns for public, foster research collaborations, academia-industry partnerships from a
               regional perspective of the North-East India.
