House Celeb R a T ions informative presentation on God’s Own Country – Kerala.
I also participated in it. We spoke about the amazing
Mbeauty of the state especially the backwaters, cultural
events of the state, spice production and of course the unique boat
race. A traditional Mohiniattam dance was also performed as a part of
this meaningful assembly. My role was to share information about the
geographical regions of the state. Though this was not my first time
on stage still I was nervous. Some of my friends who were taking part
in the presentation were Kavya, Gurveer, Shaurya and Ananya. I was
to go on stage as the second speaker. It took me a couple of days to
memorize the lines. Then, getting the expressions right was a big task.
My House masters guided me and were a big help. I am happy to say
that I spoke well. The presentation was a big learning for me.

took part in a play put up by Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel House. It
was based on a Panchtantra folktale called ‘The Elephants and the
Mice’. I was very excited when the show began. The participants
wore
I the costumes of elephants and mice. The play highlighted the
importance of helping others in need irrespective of who they are. A
good deed always pays rich dividends. Everyone in the
play played their part well. The House choir performed
sardar Vallabh equally well by providing a wonderful background
score. We received a loud applause from the audience
bhai Patel House and felt very proud of ourselves.

his time when my House was on duty, I
was the chosen one to conduct an assembly
theme based on Sardar Patel. I had earlier
Tread news, danced, sung a solo, was a part
of the choir but never ever conducted an assembly. So,
it was indeed a matter of pride and a challenge for
me. I worked hard to sound confident and flawless.
Hence, when the day came, I was able to conduct the
proceedings of the assembly impeccably. My fellow
House mates shared information about Sardar Patel’s
life and valuable contributions made by him for the
welfare of the society. Everyone appreciated my efforts
and I was super elated too. This was made possible
because my teachers showed confidence in me and
gave me a platform, where I got a chance to discover
my new capabilities.

‘Helping Others’. I felt nervous at the start, but

I gained confidence when I saw my friends and
teachers in the audience. The programme depicted
a series of daily life-incidents which motivate us to
help those in need. It taught me many things about
how to help other people. I felt proud when my
friends appreciated me. I thank all House masters who
gave me a chance to perform on the stage. Indeed, it
was a memorable day.
