      Let me first wish you all “Happy Akshay Tritiya”.
      There is a huge significance of Akshay Tritiya in
      Jainism.  In  this  era,  the  first  Ahar  daan  (food
      donation) of sugarcane juice was given by King
      Shreyans to Rishabhdeva on this auspicious day
      as depicted in a coin issued by the British Indian
      Government in 1818. This started the tradition of
      Ahar  daan  (charity  in  this  era  and  is  thus  marked  as  a  special  day  to
      remember  the  Muniraj's  charya  (Monk's  obligations)  and  Shravak's  duty
      (householder's obligations).


      Friends, as you are all aware that ISJS's sole mission is to propagate the
      eternal knowledge of Jain Tirthankaras with modern relevance. To advance
      our ideology. We would request you all to take this opportunity to study the
      5-week program on Jainism, a 3-week program on Teaching for peace in

      India, and the 3  Bhagwan Mahavir Prakrit Fellowship program details on
      registration and enrollment requirements are given inside the newsletter.
      Your enthusiasm for studying Jain philosophy will allow ISJS to continue with
      its mission by further improving and enhancing these valuable programs.


      Apart, from this to encourage our in-house research activities, inside this
      newsletter we have mentioned our popular and most-read books.

      In this issue, read an article by Ms. Pragya Jain in the speak-up section.
      Here, in this article, she talks about the 'Prakrit Language' (The canonical
      language of Jain scriptures) which is full of core values helping us in enriching
      our lives.

      Moreover, this newsletter will include frequent updates on Jain lectures and
      other  Jainism-related  academic  and  non-academic  events  in  India  and
