serious and motivated graduate and Ph.D. students, post-doctoral scholars,
and full-time teaching -cum research faculty members involved in the study of
Religion, South Asian religions, languages, anthropology, theology, and allied
subjects.

] ISSJS.2022-Teaching for Peace (July 11–31, 2022 at Delhi, Jalgaon
and Pune) when we are bombarded with acts of violence daily, we may
cultivate peace by educating ourselves. People of all ages should learn about
transformational conflict resolution as part of their peace education. But
when is the best time to start? Youngsters need to establish their views of the
world and learn how to connect with others. Learning about peace is an
excellent way for youngsters to cultivate peaceful views of the world around
them. Children's future well-being depends on our ability to teach them how
to treat others with respect and dignity, and how to establish and maintain
good interpersonal connections.

The next generation will be better prepared to live in a society that values
relationships over competitiveness and well-being over achievement when
we teach them the importance of peace and the necessary skills for healthy
conflict resolution. A group of people can do more together than they could
alone if they work together toward a common goal and retain their individual
and collective well-being at the same time. By teaching students how to work
in groups and converse with their peers, peace education may help them
become partners rather than competitors in school and afterward.

To inculcate values of peace and cooperativeness, this program is designed for
high school teachers & educators who wish to integrate practical nonviolence into
their lives, classrooms, and schools.
