                                    And so, after ruling 395 years, the curtains fellfor the Sassanid (persian)
                                  Dynasty at the hands of a newly born nation of three decades, which could
                                  not boast of either administrative experience nor war expertise. This could
                                  not have occurred save for the Muslims' unshakeable faith in Allah, His
                                  Messenger, and the supremacy of Islam.
                                    According to Prof. Hamidullali," the territories conquered by 35 A.H.
                                  (the conclusion of 'Uthman's reign) can be divided as follows:
                                  Territories annexed during the
                                  Prophet's lifetime              till 11 A.H.  1,000,000 Sq. miles
                                  Abu Bakr as-Siddiq              11-13 A.H.    200,000 Sq. miles
                                  'Umar b. al-Khattab             13-25 A.H.  1,500,000 Sq. miles
                                  'Uthman b. 'Affan               25-35 A.H.    800,000 Sq. miles
                                  Total                                       3,500,000 Sq. miles
